Taylar has been in the fitness industry for almost 2 decades having coached a variety of different athletes and individuals in their respective sports and/or personal goals. Through the years, Taylar saw there was a need for programs built for athletes' individual needs. She noticed in group settings that each athlete had different weaknesses, fitness levels, and neurological responses in workouts. This led to her actively "Taylar'ing" workouts for individuals based off their individual goals and needs. Through this time she saw an immediate improvement of her athletes and their confidence growing.
With having a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Taylar always understood that what a person thinks will determine how one will perform! With this knowledge, Taylar has been able create a system for her athletes to not only get a physical response from them but also an mental and emotional response as well! This system has allowed her to coach and train World record holding powerlifters, elite level crossfit and grid athletes, World Qualifying Olympic lifting athletes, all age ranges from 9 to 78 years young, and just anybody looking for real change and growth in their lives!
Taylar uses her experience as an elite, National, and International athlete to help build the blueprint for the people she trains. As a former 10xAll time World record holder (powerlifting), Weightlifting National Champion, Team USA athlete in weightlifting (Pan Ams/World Team), multiple MVP and specialist of the year awards (Grid), and national NCAA track and field qualifier, her resume is extremely diverse which makes her invaluable to work with and relate to any athlete!
Professionally, Taylar was a Strength and conditioning coach for the USF Track and field team for 6years, Director of coaching for 4 years, and owned and operated a in home personal training business for 6years.
Taylar created TaylarMadeMeDoIt, with the name inspired by her athletes' incredible trust in her telling people they do whatever "Taylar makes them do." Jess is originally from Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!), and moved to Tampa, FL in 2012. She has been involved in sports her entire life, whether it was through playing soccer, rugby, running track, or coaching. She has always enjoyed competition and seeing what the human body is capable of. It was soon after college when she realized just how MUCH nutrition came into play with how she felt, performed, and lived her every day life. It was then that she made nutrition and fitness her career. She loves being able to combine her passion of living a healthy lifestyle with teaching others how to achieve it.
Through past jobs in teaching high school Physical Education & Health, coaching group fitness, and nutrition, she has 10+ years of experience in instilling healthy habits to adults and children of all ages. Her energy and positive attitude make it easy for her clients to be excited about their new healthy lifestyle.
Jess prides herself in being able to create and coach quality fitness and nutrition programs, focusing on the individual and appropriate progressions to obtain optimal results!
